Sodium Lactate is the sodium salt of natural L(+) lactic acid made by the fermentation of sugar. It has a mild taste, antimicrobial properties and is pH neutral. This product is widely used as a natural preservative in many applications. Application: Used in the Food Industry such as food preservation, acidity regulator, and bulking agent. Used throughout other industries such as Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals. Process Flow: Derived from Lactic Acid and Sodium Hydroxide which produce Sodium Lactate and water from the reaction. Physical Form: Clear Liquid Solubility: Soluble in Water Country of Origin: United States Storage & Shelf Life: Store at 65 - 75°F in a dry and odor-free environment. Best if used within 24 months from the date of manufacture in unopened containers. GMO Statement: Non-GMO Free This term shall be used to describe products that contain NO ingredients, additives or processing aides derived from commodities that have commercially grown GMO varieties in the supply chain (i.e contains no soybean, corn, cotton, canola, squash, papaya, potato or tomato).
