Welcome to Turners' Circle where the wood you see is always the wood you receive. This listing is for a Camphor burl 3-1/2" x 3-1/2” x 5-5/8" unstabilized turning blank. The end-grain has been sealed with wax and the sides lightly shellac sealed. This species, Cinnamomum camphora has a Janka hardness around 1000. This is a very stable burl compared to most. Camphor oil is an active ingredient in medicated chest rubs. Therefore the wood has a strong aroma similar to the chest rubs and proper PPE should be used if sensitive to those products. The blank has been dried until it stopped losing weight. *SHIPPING* Maximum combined shipping is just $10 if all items are under 12-7/8" in length. Maximum combined shipping is $15 for orders with blanks longer than 12-7/8” , any size bowl blanks, or boards over 12-7/8” in length.
